Man in Fort Pierce charged with exposing himself to three children

Faces three felony counts of lewd behavior

FORT PIERCE — A man accused of exposing his genitals to three children last week was arrested Monday by Fort Pierce police, according to an affidavit released Tuesday.

Esequiel Junior Castaneda, 21, of the 700 block of Avenue J in Fort Pierce, faces three felony counts of lewd lascivious behavior.

A 15-year-old boy told police Monday he was shooting BB guns with Castaneda last week. The boy's 13-year-old brother and an 11-year-old boy also were there, and they all were shooting at bottles.

Castaneda told the 15-year-old boy they should go fishing. While talking about where they were going, Castaneda exposed his genitals to them, according to reports. The 13-year-old boy and the 11-year-old boy also said Castaneda exposed his genitals, the report stated.

Further, the 15-year-old boy told police Castaneda had exposed a portion of his genitalia to him in the past.

Castaneda said he urinated near some bushes that were 10 feet from the children and said he didn't know whether the three kids saw his genitals at the time. He denied showing his genitals to the children.

The kids were certain Castaneda didn't try to relieve himself in front of them.
