Georgian immigrants accused of stealing from Fort Pierce Walmart

Six people are under arrest, accused of stealing about $2,100 worth of electronics and other items from the Walmart store on Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Melissa Jaques.

The people are from the country of Georgia and worked for a cleaning service contracted by the store.

The suspects were identified as Gogolashvili Kaxa, 28, Aleksandre Khosroshvili, 26, Daviti Liparteliani, 32, Mariami Kokhreidze, 25, Onise Gureshidze, 36, and Natia Bardavelidze, 36.

Charges range from felony grand theft to misdemeanor petit theft.

The people were transported to the St. Lucie County Jail where they are being held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
