Police say Hezekiah Harris caught on tape

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police are trying to connect the crime dots.

On April 8th someone broke into a truck that was parked in the driveway on SW Twig Avenue.  At that time a bank card was stolen from inside the truck.

Police say the thief used the card to buy items, making three different transactions at two local stores.

One was a 7-Eleven on SE Prima Vista Boulevard.  The stolen card was also used at Walgreens on US Highway 1.

Port St. Lucie police detectives have named Hezekiah Travion Harris, who's from the area, as a suspect.

He was wearing a hooded plaid jacket that was seen in the surveillance video using the stolen credit card.

A detective spoke with Harris, who is currently in the St. Lucie County Jail. Harris told the detective that he did use the credit card but that it was given to him and he did not steal it.  He's currently facing charges for grand theft auto.  He's also been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and fraudulently obtaining property.
