FORT PIERCE, Fla-- With more possible bad weather on the way, parts of the Treasure Coast
are bracing for a new round of rough rain.

All of this is just adding to some of the flooding problems left over from the day before.

Some relief came just in time for neighbors in this Fort Pierce neighborhood off Jenkins road.

"We're seeing a lot of waters and it's moving toward the front door of the houses here," said Daniel Ochse, who lives in the neighborhood.

The heavy rains have left their front and back yards filled with water overflowing from the ditches.

Ochse says many of the homes on this block are on a septic system. With flooding like this some cant even use their bathrooms.

Fort Pierce Public Works came out to pump out the excess water before the next round of rain hits.

The department has up to four street crews spread across the city.

With the potential for more bad weather to hit, workers are trying to stay ahead to prevent as much flooding as possible.

"We keep the catch basins clean so when we do get more rain later on this afternoon, they're clean and the water will flow freely instead of flooding out the roads," said Scott Savoia with Public Works.
