Fire cancels classes at IRSC Tomeu Center for Career and Academic Advancement building

Suspect arrested

Classes have been canceled at the Tomeu Center for Career and Academic Advancement on the Indian River State College campus after a fire in the men's bathroom on the building's second floor.

The building is used for adult high school and GED classes.

No one was hurt.

Sprinklers put out the fire and there is flood damage to the first floor.

The rest of the campus is open.

18 year-old Rashaun Ray of Fort Pierce has been charged with one count of arson.  He attended Adult Learning Classes at IRSC.
