Acording to police, a Ft. Pierce man shot at his brother over rent money Friday night.

The victim was sitting outside his home with his girlfriend and their one-year-old child when his brother, Anthony Pearson, 29, walked up and started shooting.

Pearson missed the victims then ran to a nearby home where he was eventually arrested without incident.

The victim, Tavarious Johnson told police he had an argument with Pearson earlier in the evening over rent money.

Pearson was arrested for three (3) counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one (1) count of Possession of Firearm/Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, and one (1) count of Resisting Arrest Without Violence.

Sheriff Mascara said he is grateful no one was injured during this incident.  It could have resulted in a very different outcome.
