Demarious Hurst, Davarius Taylor accused of armed robbery of a juvenile

FORT PIERCE -- Police on Sunday arrested two additional men in connection with a Jan. 21 armed robbery of a juvenile that happened in the 1100 block of Georgia Avenue, officials said Monday.

The two Fort Pierce men, 18-year-old Davarius Taylor of the 600 block of South 11th Street and 21-year-old Demarious Hurst of the 500 block of North 12th Street, were identified during the course of the investigation, said Sgt. Melissa Jaques, Fort Pierce police spokeswoman.

Sunday, officers received a tip that led them to arrest Taylor just after 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of Grand Club Boulevard, Jaques said. He is charged with robbery with a firearm and is being held at the St. Lucie County Hail on $50,000 bail.

A few hours later, officers arrested Hurst at his home, Jaques said. He is charged with robbery with a firearm and is being held at the St. Lucie County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

Eddie Daniels, 19, of Fort Pierce remains in the St. Lucie County Jail on $51,000 bond in connection with the robbery. He is charged with robbery with a firearm and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
