17-year-old suspect faces attempted homicide charge in shooting incident

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Fort Pierce Police announced the arrest of 17-year-old suspect they say was involved in a shooting incident Thursday.

Officers responded to a 'shots fired' call in the 700 block of Texas Court just before 12:30p.m. Once on scene, officer received a tip in regards to the shooter's vehicle, described as a white four door car with tinted windows and custom rims, seen fleeing the area. Officers located the vehicle, driven by the 17-year-old suspect. The teen was taken into custody. Investigators located a crime scene at 720 Texas Court where they found two vehicles that had been struck by bullets. No one was injured in the incident.

The teen was charged with one count of Attempted Homicide and one count of Grand Theft of a Vehicle. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Police are looking for one additional suspect.
