ST. LUCIE COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol officials said Wednesday they have recovered a black Toyota Tundra pick-up truck involved in a hit-and-run crash earlier this week that killed a 64-year-old man.
FHP says a witness saw the person of interest drop the truck off and then leave in another car Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred Monday morning on State Road A1A in Jensen Beach.
Investigators are still looking for the suspected driver, Diana Frew, 44, of Port St. Lucie, said Sgt. Mark Wysocky, FHP spokesman.
Jensen Beach resident Nelson A. Reeves, 64, was pedaling north in a bike lane in the 10300 block of South Ocean Drive, which is A1A, about 7:35 a.m. when he was hit, throwing him into a turn lane in front of a condominium about a mile north of the St. Lucie-Martin County line, officials said.
Anyone with information about Frew is asked to call the FHP at 954-837-4012 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 800-273-8477 or email FHP Corporal Thomas White at email@example.com.
