The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday they have made the largest heroin bust in county history.
This comes after members of the Special Investigation Unit served a search warrant on a house in the 2400 block of South 13th St. in Fort Pierce.
Officials located 600 grams of heroin and Fentanyl, the deadly combination responsible for many of the recent overdoses and overdose deaths in the county.

The street value of the drugs exceeds $300,000, making it the largest heroin-related drug bust in the history of the sheriff's office.
A loaded handgun and a shotgun were also located in the home.
Sharonn Albury, 31, a federal career offender, was arrested and faces 30 years to life in prison.
"I committed that our agency would track, search out, and dismantle the heroin operations wreaking havoc throughout our county," said Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. "Tonight brings us one step closer to reaching that goal and should send a message to all those who may still be out there selling...we will find you and we will stop you."
Bond for Albury was set at $203,000.
