Deputies investigating after 18-year-old male stabbed multiple times at Mud Jam

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident at Mud Jam that left an 18-year-old male with multiple stab wounds.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, the incident happened around 11 p.m. Friday night at 6800 Carlton Road during the St. Lucie Mud Jam, a weekend-long festival with ATV mud races, camping and tailgating in a 500 acres area west of Fort Pierce.

"People at Mud Jam flagged down deputies patrolling the area and told them a man had been stabbed," Sheriff Mascara said.

"Deputies took him to the St. Lucie County Fire Rescue team on duty at the festival. From there he was taken by helicopter to a trauma facility," said Mascara.

The 18-year-old male who suffered multiple stab wounds is not being named due to his medical condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
