A Treasure Coast bus aide, whose actions gained national attention, could face a suspension and possible termination.
Police reports say school bus video showed 37-year-old Daneta McPherson "violently screaming" at a then 5-year-old special needs child on board a bus to Rivers Edge Elementary in Port St. Lucie.
St. Lucie County School Superintendent Giselle Yost is recommending McPherson be fired. The bus video, taken in November, shows five separate incidents.
McPherson has requested a hearing on the case.
Tuesday night, the school board will consider suspending her without pay pending the outcome of that hearing.
McPherson was arrested in connection with this case and still faces a felony charge of continual harassment of a child.
