MANALAPLAN, Fla. - 17 undocumented migrants came ashore Thursday morning in Manalapan and were apprehended, according to the US Border Patrol.
The group landed in the 1900 block of South Ocean Boulevard. A1A was closed to traffic in the area, after police converged on the scene.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported nine patients to JFK Medical Center for treatment.
Border Patrol says the boat suspected of dropping the people off has not been located.
16 of the people are from Haiti, one is from Jamaica.
