Gary Goldberg facing child porn, FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office say

PALM BEACH COUTY, Fla. - Authorities say a forty-nine-year old Palm Beach County man was producing child pornography by photographing teenagers at an area gas station.

Gary Goldberg is charged with production of child pornography after an investigation by the FBI and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

A pre-trial detention hearing for Goldberg was held Wednesday.

If convicted, authorities say Goldberg faces a mandatory minimum sentence of fifteen years in prison.

According to the complaint, Goldberg entered into a relationship with a 17-year-old girl and her 15-year-old friend.

Goldberg allegedly performed oral sex on the younger teen in the bathroom at the BP station at Glades Road while the older teen waited in the car outside, authorities said.

They say Goldberg paid the minors to allow him to take nude and sexually explicit photographs of them.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
