12 undocumented Haitian migrants come ashore in Highland Beach, Delray Beach

HIGHLAND BEACH, Fla. - Twelve undocumented Haitian migrants are in custody Tuesday morning after coming ashore in southern Palm Beach County, according to Pete Daniel with the U.S. Border Patrol.

Border Patrol said that eight men, one juvenile and three women were apprehended after being dropped off overnight. One of the women is seven months pregnant but did not give birth.

Chopper 5 flew over Highland Beach Beach at 7:45 a.m. and found some of the migrants sitting on a public bench in police custody.

Daniel said no smuggling vessel has been located. All of the migrants will be transported to the Border Patrol station for evaluation and further processing.
