NewsChannel 5 obtained new reports about a fire stunt gone wrong at Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach.

In separate reports, both the State Fire Marshal and Delray Beach Fire Rescue ruled the incident an “accident.”

Neither agency will punish, or charge the performer with a crime.

Ricky Charles, the owner of Inferno’s Challenge, lit himself on fire while performing at a pep rally in March at the high school.

Paramedics rushed him to the hospital. He suffered second degree burns, but survived.

Charles has repeatedly said he used a different type of oil for his stunt at Atlantic High School and was not familiar enough with it, which led to the fire.

The schools superintendent said fire is not allowed inside schools. The district is still conducting its own investigation.

Last week, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released its report about the incident.

Federal investigators did not fine Charles. They required him to submit plans on how he would prevent this from happening in the future.
