Surveillance tape leads to Delray arrest

Suspect captured

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - A robbery caught on surveillance tape and some quick thinking by two used-clothing store owners helped nab a suspect in Delray Beach.

"A Blast From The Past" store owners say the surveillance tape shows 24-year-old Kyle Gonzalas stealing a handbag worth a thousand dollars.

After he left, the owner called a second consignment shop to warn them that he might try to sell the stolen merchandise.

When the owner of "Second Time Around" looked up, she says Gonzalas was in there, trying to sell the bag.

"She said 'are you looking, you know, don't say anything. But are you looking at a man, trying to sell you a hot pink, high-end purse?' " Said Jen Davis, the owner of Second Time Around.

She says she stalled him until the police got there.

Gonzalas is in the Palm Beach County jail and faces charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen merchandise.

He is due in court on July 14.
