Maurice Closs missing Delray Beach man found

UPDATE: Delray Beach police say: Mr. Closs was located last night at about 11:30pm by an FHP trooper in the area of Davie. He is now home safe and sound with his wife!

 

EARLIER STORY:

Delray Beach police have issued a silver Alert for a missing man.

They say Maurice Closs left his home in the Hamlet Development on West Atlantic Avenue Wednesday morning around 11:15 and has not been seen since.

Closs, who is 85-years-old, suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, according to police.

He had on a blue and white shirt, dark pants and dress shoes.

Closs wears glasses and has a scab on the left side of his face and a bruise on his left arm.

Police say he is driving a Black Chrysler 300C with Ontario tag MJC00.

Officials note that the car has a softball size dent on the right front fender.
