One person is hospitalized after a vehicle plunged into a pond in Delray Beach Monday evening, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The incident happened at 6:38 p.m. near Carrotwood Circle and Las Verdes Circle.
Witnesses said the vehicle was sinking and the occupant was trying to kick out the window.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found the vehicle completed submerged.
Rescue divers were able to locate the vehicle and remove the victim out of the water.
The patient, an adult female, was transported to a local area hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
