A visitor from Texas made a startling discovery while walking on the beach Monday morning.
He found a hammerhead shark that had washed ashore in Delray Beach near Atlantic Avenue.
Someone reported it to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
However, it was the city that took care of the shark’s removal.
It’s not clear what caused the shark’s death.
