Delray Beach heroin overdoses: Police see spike in December

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - The Delray Beach Police Department said Monday they are currently investigating a significant spike in heroin overdoses.
Since Dec. 1, 2013, the department said they have handled more than 20 cases, one of which has resulted in a death (pending toxicology reports).
The Delray Beach Police Department is working with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Drug lab in the cases. Seized narcotics are being tested.
