PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Right now, for the first time, we are learning what Anesson Joseph was doing in the hours leading up to the naked rampage that would end with the 28-year-old dead and two people in the hospital.
Joseph dropped his sister off at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Delray Medical Center where she works.
At 8:22 p.m. deputies got the call about Joseph going on the attack
His sister said he seemed totally normal when driving her to Delray -- and that he spent the day working on a college paper and spending time with their mother.
She says that was Anneson's first time to that part of Delray -- and that he didn't know the area well. The naked attack that investigators say happened next has the family confused.
Investigators said after attacking two people Joseph charged at deputies, giving them no choice but to shoot.
"Part of me doesn't want to believe this because who I knew Anesson was…he was my best friend... he was a great person. He wasn't supposed to die this way," said Claudia Davids, Joseph's sister.
Anneson's attorney says looking at the video of the shooting, which was recorded on a cellphone, he was clearly in some sort of mental distress. What caused that is still unknown.
The family says it has not been given information from investigators -- but relatives are starting to plan a funeral.
