DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- One person was taken as a trauma alert to Delray Medical Center Thursday afternoon after their car entered a canal on Royal Palm Court in Delray Beach.
A PBSO investigator says a 2000 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on Royal Palm Court when it left the roadway and struck a cement light pole. The car was redirected to the northeast and struck a large hedge.
The car continued over the hedge and rolled into a water-filled canal.
44-year-old Michael J. Irvine of Delray Beach was transported to the hospital.
There is no word on his condition.
