Timmy Sherman: Boynton Beach man arrested on animal cruelty charges

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A Boynton Beach man is under arrest after witnesses reported seeing the man repeatedly dragging two pitbull puppies. In one instance, witnesses  say they also saw the man pick one of the puppies up, drop the dog mid-air and kick the dog with his foot.

According to a Boynton Beach Police brief, officers arrested Timmy Sherman in the 2200 block of North Seacrest Boulevard around 4:30 Tuesday after witnesses told officers Sherman had repeatedly hurt the dogs.

Sherman also had outstanding warrants for retail theft and was found in possession of .8 grams of marijuana.

He faces one count of animal cruelty, three counts of failure to appear and one count of possession of marijuana.

Sherman remains in the Palm Beach County Jail.
