Three injured in serious Boynton Beach crash

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-car crash in suburban Boynton Beach that sent three people to the hospital.

The accident happened at 9:30 a.m. in the 9400 block of Jog Road.

Fire rescue crews say the first calls into 911 said that as many as four vehicles were involved. When firefighters arrived they found two vehicles with heavy damage.

One person had to be extricated from a vehicle. That person was flown via Trauma Hawk to Delray Medical Center.

The other two people involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Southbound Jog Road between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Gateway boulevard was shut down until just after noon.

Investigators have not yet said who caused the crash.
