BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting Saturday night.

Investigators continue to look for a second person who may have been involved.

Shedrick Lamont Moss, 35, of Boynton Beach faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted robbery for the death of 29-year-old Anthony Harris and injuring another man.

The fatal shooting occurred in the 1600 block of NE 4th Court at 11:40 p.m. Saturday

Detectives arrested Moss Monday night.

During a court hearing Tuesday a judge denied Moss bond on both charges.

Moss was ordered to have no contact with the victim's family. He's not allowed to have weapons if he is released from jail.

According to court records, three separate tipsters came forward since Saturday to speak with police. All three listed Moss and another man as being involved in Harris’ death.

One tipster said the other man fired the deadly shots. Police said Moss told them the gun used in the killing was hidden at his grandmother’s home. Detectives found a handgun where Moss indicated.

Tipsters told police Moss had an argument with Harris earlier in the day Saturday. He and the other man came back to Harris’s home that night to kill him.

Police Chief Jeffrey Katz has stressed how cooperation between the public and police in paramount in keeping the community safe.

Reports show a police officer found a gun under Harris’ body, but did not specify if Harris ever fired it.
