Randy Sanders: Mother said Boynton Beach son may 'have a demon in him'

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach police arrested a man Monday night accused of biting and kicking officers who responded to his home after the suspect's mother said he may "have a demon in him."

Police responded to Randy Sanders' home, located on N.E. 16th Ave., just before 10 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute.

Sanders' mother advised that he had damaged the residence, and she wanted him removed from the home.

When officers arrived, they say Sanders' two brothers, Anthony and Bobby, told officers that he had left the home.

Police said after the two men attempted to stop them from entering the home, they were arrested on charges of obstruction. Officers later located Sanders under his bed.

According to police, Sanders reacted violently, kicking and biting the responding officers. Police said he also kicked out the rear passenger door of their patrol car, causing damage.

Sanders faces two counts of battery on an officer, one count of resisting an officer with violence and property damage. The officers involved in the incident did not need medical treatment.
