BOYNTON BEACH, Fl. - There were some tough moments today for a man trying to kayak in the Boynton Inlet.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue says that around 1 pm today they received a call for a possible drowning at the Boynton Inlet Park at 6900 N. Ocean Blvd.
PBCFR spotted a man that had been in a kayak in the inlet when it flipped in the water.
The unidentified kayaker was pulled out the inlet by the current and was in distress according to rescuers.
Units from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Palm Beach County Ocean Lifeguards and Palm Beach County Sheriff Marine all worked together to rescue the patient.
The man was brought back to shore with minimal scrapes according to Capt. Albert Borroto with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and did not need further medical attention at a hospital.
