Boynton Beach religious leaders holding unity prayer

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Religious leaders in Boynton Beach are coming together and praying for unity Wednesday at the city commission meeting.

About a dozen pastors, clergymen and preachers want to show their solidarity.

They say their community has received a tremendous amount of negative attention the past several weeks, including some police officers calling out sick.

They feel it's left a dark cloud hanging over the city and they hope this act with help to repair the city’s image.

"They're excited because they know that at least the city has men of faith, people that are willing to bond together in unity and in harmony for the betterment of our city," said Apostle Tommy Brown.

Organizers are inviting other church members to join them Wednesday at the commission meeting, which is held at City Hall located at 100 E. Boynton Beach Blvd.
