Jesus Frias: 18-year-old bicyclist struck, killed by garbage truck in suburban Boynton Beach

SUBURBAN BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - 18-year-old bicyclist Jesus Frias was killed in Boynton Beach Wednesday morning when a garbage ran him over , according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

At 9:48 a.m., crews responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a bicycle near Lawrence Road and Old Boynton Road.

When crews arrived, they found Frias was lying still in the road, said Captain Albert Borroto with PBCFR.   He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, the bicycle was run over by the rear passenger side tires. 

The driver of the garbage truck has been identified as 41-year-old Morris Rodriquez of Fort Lauderdale.  Rodriquez was not injured on the accident.
