Anthony Bentley, 3-year-old child battling cancer gets, opportunity to be a honorary junior officer

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Anthony Bentley, a 3-year-old battling cancer, had the opportunity to be an honorary junior officer of the Boynton Beach Police Department on Wednesday afternoon.

The department learned through a friend of an officer that Anthony loves the police, according to Stephanie Slater, spokeswoman for Boynton Beach Police.

It was quite eventful day for Anthony.

He was given his junior badge from Chief Jeffrey S. Katz .  He also had the opportunity to ride-along with a Boynton Beach police officer, get a demonstration from SWAT team and meet some of Boynton's K-9s.
