A 68-year-old Boynton Beach man driving a scooter was killed in wreck Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on North Congress Avenue and Renaissance Drive shortly before 4 p.m.
Police said the driver of the scooter, Richard Bukovec, was traveling southbound in the left straight lane of North Congress Avenue when he struck the rear of the 2013 Ford Escape.
Bukovec was sent airborne off the scooter and landed in the road. He was taken to Delray Medical Center where he died on Sunday.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
