BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- One person is in critical condition following an accident Saturday morning in Boynton Beach.
Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a 2013 Volvo S60 lost control of their vehicle on I-95 northbound, south of Gateway Boulevard at 9:37 a.m.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck the concrete wall and overturned into a water filled ditch.
One of the occupants was transported to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
The other occupant fled the scene on foot. Investigators believe he was picked up by a white vehicle.
The occupant that fled the scene may be injured and is described as a black male with dreadlocks.
It is unknown which one of the men were driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
