Boca Raton police need the public's assistance in finding a woman who went into the Apple store at Town Center Mall Tuesday with a device strapped to her chest.

Police said the incident happened around 2:30 p.m.

The woman was seen on camera walking into the store and going directly to the rear of the store where she tried to use the men's room.

A store employee stopped her and then she entered the women's restroom.

Police said 20 seconds later, the woman exited the restroom and entered a second door which led to the back storage area.

When confronted by a store employee again, the woman unzipped her hoodie and showed a small black device strapped to her chest.

The employee said the woman said she was in trouble and needed help but asked not to call police or she would be harmed.

Surveillance video captured the woman leaving the mall from the loading dock entrance, left of Capital Grille, the same way she came in.

She is described as possibly Hispanic, 5'8", wearing a red hoodie with a gray graphic design on the front, a red hat and black leggings.

Detectives also said the woman appeared to have an audio earpiece.
