The Boca Raton apartment complex where a 19-year-old was shot and killed last month has a new owner.

Residents at University Park say they received a memo on their doors from Park Partners Residential explaining it sold the property and Priess is now managing the complex. It is unclear who now owns the property.

University Park is an apartment complex for college students located at 135 NW 20th Street in Boca Raton. It has room for 598 residents in 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments.

Boca Raton police say they suspect five people entered an apartment on December 29 and killed Nicholas Acosta. Police reports indicate Acosta was selling marijuana from the apartment. A witness says the group of men took marijuana with them after shooting Acosta.

Police arrested Donovan Henry and Rodrick Woods. Both are charged with murder. Detectives continue to look for three other suspects, including the person they believe pulled the trigger killing Acosta.

Preiss markets itself as a student housing company. Its website lists several properties all over the U.S.

The memo University Park residents received tells them to continue paying their rent at the office at the complex.

We've reached out to the former owner (University Park of Boca, LLC) for more information and are waiting to hear back.
