Suzanne Morales charged with trying to run over Boca Raton police officer at Town Center Mall

Suspect charged with aggravated assault

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton police said they arrested a woman Monday morning who tried to run over an officer when police woke her in her car.

Officers said Suzanne Morales was sleeping in her car wearing teddy pajamas in the Nordstrom second level parking lot at the Town Center Mall located at 5820 W Glades Road around 9:40 a.m.

Officers said when they approached the car, they saw Morales sleeping in the passenger seat.  Police said there was also a strong stench coming from the inside of the car.

Morales was told by police that she was sleeping on private property.

Officers said that while they were talking to her she backed her car up and nearly hit an officer.

Morales, according to police, also scraped another car in the mall parking lot.

Police asked Morales to get out of her car and when she refused they broke out her back passenger window.

Morales was arrested by Boca Raton police and charged with aggravated assault and obstructing an officer without violence.

Police said that store officials told them that Morales had been sleeping in her car in the garage for several days.
