Suspected serial bank robbery suspect sought by FBI

The FBI is searching for a man suspected of committing up to seven bank robberies since Christmas Eve.

The latest hold-up was around 2 p.m. Friday at the Bank of America, at 2300 E. Sunrise Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale, agents said.

The robbery suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee. There were customers in the bank at the time but no one was injured. The suspect was last seen walking out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, agents said.

The FBI is circulating a bank surveillance photo of the suspect. Agents think he may be involved in several other bank robberies from Hollywood to Boca Raton. They included the Iberia Bank, Comerica Bank, Amtrust Bank, Regent Bank, Valley Bank and TD Bank, the FBI said.

Agents are urging anyone with information or the identity of this bank robber to call the FBI at 305-944-9101 or Crimestoppers at 954-493-8477.
