Boca Raton police said three people, one juvenile and two adults, were arrested early Tuesday morning after a vehicle was stolen in Broward County.
Public information officer Sandra Boonenberg said police were notified about a suspicious vehicle coming into Boca Raton at about 2:25 am.
Multiple law enforcement agencies conducted a search for the suspects along Palmetto Park Road and A1A.
Boca Raton police blocked several streets in the area and had urged area residents to stay inside their homes earlier in the morning.
At 4:15 a.m., Boca Raton police tweeted there was a police activity in the vicinity of 200 NE Wavecrest Ct., and the public should avoid the area. However, police tweeted about 45 minutes later that the scene was clear.
The PBSO helicopter was dispatched and located a stolen Cadillac driving slowly through a residential neighborhood. It observed the occupants steal a Toyota Tundra, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz from residences.
Police moved in. Tyrell Prince, 18, was arrested after being seen behind the wheel of the Mercedes. Anthonee Boggs was apprehended after he unsuccessfully tried to get into the BMW as it fled the scene. After a brief chase in the stolen BMW, a juvenile was taken into custody in Delray Beach.
