BOCA RATON, Fla. - A man who worked at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with 13 counts of video voyeurism.
FAU police said a student came to them claiming he was the victim of a hidden camera at an on-campus men's bathroom. The victim also claimed the video was later uploaded to the Internet.
Investigators said they were able to locate the victim's video on a porn site site that had subscribers and other explicit videos.
Police said that the site referred to a collection of hidden videos that features men using the restroom.
FAU police say that they were able to trace the videos to Seth Thompson, an employee of the school.
Thompson told investigators that he recorded the videos at the school's Boca Raton campus using his Apple iPhone.
Police said that Thompson also used an Apple MacBook Laptop computer that was issued to him by FAU to upload videos.
Thompson told police that he thought he could put the videos on the Internet without anyone knowing that he was responsible.
FAU police arrested Thompson on 13 counts of video voyeurism as well as charges of dissemination of voyeurism.
Thompson was booked into the Palm Beach County jail and later released on bond.
FAU said that Thompson no longer works for the university.
