Red Ferrari goes up in flames in Boca Raton parking lot

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A red Ferrari went up in flames Friday afternoon in the 2200 block of Northwest 19 th Street in Boca Raton.

The beautiful Italian's engine burst into flames around 3 p.m. in the parking lot across from Hooters Restaurant, said Chief Mike Gergora, spokesman for Boca Raton Fire Rescue.

And YouReporter Robert Hobson caught it all on camera.

I "was told the car had been sitting for roughly 15 minutes before a waitress noticed a small flame coming from the rear of the car." Hobson said. "I never found out what started the blaze but the owner didn't look too concerned, in fact he was almost laughing at the situation!!!

No injuries were reported and Gergora said the state fire marshal will investigate the cause of the blaze.
