An anonymous alumnus will give Lynn University in Boca Raton $9 million to build its new International Business Center, if the school can raise $3 million on its own.
The gift will consist of $6 million up front, with the remaining $3 million to be given if Lynn raises an additional $3 million.
The new center, which will be home to Lynn's College of Business and Management, is currently in the architectural planning stages.
According to a news release from the school, the building will include 32,000 square feet of flexible spaces and common work areas "to foster impromptu collaboration." It is planned to be a LEED-Platinum certified structure that will take advantage of natural lighting and harvesting of rainwater.
In a statement, Lynn President Kevin Ross said, "This gift is a game-changer and provides Lynn with the amazing opportunity to build a world-class structure to house our college of business.
"We'll be celebrating our 50th anniversary this year, and we look forward to working with our friends and supporters during this special time to make this building a reality for future Lynn students and faculty."
Construction is tentatively scheduled to be done in April of 2014.
