BOCA RATON, Fla. - A Boca Raton Realtor who was up for a national award has learned he has won well-deserved recognition. Ken Davis is one of five winners of the Good Neighbor Volunteer award.
He will receive a $10,000 grant for a charity of his choice.
In August, when Davis found out he was a finalist for the award, he told WPTV NewsChannel 5 he would donate the money to the Rotary Club of Boca Raton to be used at the Cat Island Orphanage in the Bahamas.
He says he wants to turn the $10,000 into what's needed to buy hurricane impact windows for the orphanage.
Davis travels to the orphanage about once a month to volunteer.
