BOCA RATON, Fla. - A Boca Raton research center just got a much needed touch up.
Tuesday morning folks at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center cut the ribbon on a new observation deck and other improvements.
It is all part of Florida Atlantic University's marine research center.
Students and faculty say the changes will make working there and interacting with the public much easier.
“If the building is falling apart it can influence the science and they recognized the role of keeping this building looking good and functional and it's made a huge difference to all of us,” said FAU Biology Professor Jeanette Wyneken
The National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation donated 50-thousand dollars for the upgrades.
