The Florida Highway Patrol has recovered the vehicle they say is connected to a deadly hit and run crash on I-95 in September.

A black Chrysler 200 changed lanes and struck a motorcycle causing 36-year-old Kevin Scheinberg to lose control on the night of Sept. 2 in the northbound lanes of the interstate south of Yamato Road, FHP said.

Dash camera video showed the driver of the Chrysler 200 leaving the scene of the crash moments after first responders arrived.

"The fact the somebody could hit someone, see them dying and then leave so nonchalantly, I could never in a million years do that to someone to a family. I don't know how you sleep at night. I don't know how you live with yourself," said Sonny Scheinberg, the victim's sister.

Investigators recovered the vehicle at a body shop in Broward county, FHP said.

"From day one I've had complete faith in Florida Highway Patrol. The detective on the case, to have someone as relentless as I am to find justice, is comforting and hopeful," added Scheinberg.

Sonny's gone through more than two months of agony and grief. Now she feels investigator are closer to finding the driver.

"Today's the first day I woke up where I felt like I could breathe. It's felt like I've been carrying thousands of weights on my back and knowing we're finally one step closer feels amazing," she said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said it is still trying to determine who was driving the car at the time of the crash.

"I urge this person to come forward now and do the right thing for once, because you haven't this entire time," said Scheinberg.
