Suspicious Boca Raton fire causes $70,000 in damage to building

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A suspicious fire caused an estimated $70,000 in damage to a building in Boca Raton early Tuesday morning, according to a news release from the city's rescue services department.

At about 12:43 a.m., Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services responded to a report of a structure fire at 140 NW 11th St. 

When crews arrived, they saw flames and smoke. 

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but not before it caused thousands of dollars in damage to the building and its contents. 

BRFRS,  Boca Raton Police Department and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.

No one was injured.
