A children’s park in Boca Raton is helping to raise awareness for children with life-threatening illnesses.
“Yeah, I won!” said 5-year-old Harrison, as he played a race car game at "Boomers!" in Boca Raton with his parents by his side.
“Anything that brings him joy, brings me joy,” said Susan Snow, Harrison’s mom.
Dad Jeff Snow, added, “He could not contain his excitement.”
Their son battles a rare disease called Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome. He wears a trachea and eats through a feeding tube.
“The young man has been through a lot,” said Jeff.
Today, Harrison is not thinking about those realities. He’s focused on the fun of being at the park.
“My first time,” said Harrison.
Thanks to Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit that made Sunday possible for Harrison and his family at no cost to them.
“[This is] really, probably the most carefree we've been since he was born for sure,” said Susan.
Harrison and his family were nominated by their doctor. They say sharing moments like these with their son makes the everyday challenges a little easier.
“Every single smile is worth a million dollars,” said Jeff.
