The man accused of murdering the owner of Jimmy the Greek restaurant in 2014 is set to go to trial.

Tilus Lebrun was ruled mentally competent to stand trial by a Palm Beach County judge.

Lebrun, who was a dishwasher at the restaurant, is accused of killing Dimitrios Karaloukas, also known as Jimmy, inside the restaurant.

“I'm hoping that he's going to get life in jail and never see the light of day," said Maria Karaloukas, Jimmy’s wife.

Investigators say Lebrun also stabbed Jose Luis Romero Flores, another employee at the restaurant.

Flores says he vividly remembers the day of the attack.

“It was very hard for me,” Flores said through a translator. “I spent time with friends and a got little bit of help here and there.”

Deputies arrested Lebrun after the attack. A judge ruled he was mentally incompetent in 2014 and he was in a mental health facility until the judge changed his competency status earlier this month.

"I hope there's justice in the case because what he did was very wrong, not just to me, but to my boss," Flores said.

The judge said Lebrun’s expected to go to trial in either February 2018 or March 2018.

"You lose your best friend, you lose your husband. My kids lost their father. My grandson lost his grandfather. It's just been a nightmare," Karaloukas said.

Lebrun is scheduled to be back in court in September.
