UPDATE: The Suspect was located at approximately 11:00 a.m., according to the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office. He is in custody in Martin County, pending unknown charges.
EARLIER:
Deputies from three agencies are trying to track down an armed robbery suspect who is on the run.
They say a black man wearing a camo hat, blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt with stripes robbed a Shell gas station at 3609 Highway 441.
The suspect’s vehicle was found abandoned at J&S Fish Camp.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission have set up a perimeter and are currently searching the area with K-9’s.
Officials say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
