Some local schools postpone graduation ceremonies on Thursday

OKEECHOBEE & INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. - Graduation ceremonies scheduled for Thursday night will be postponed for some schools due to severe weather in the area from Tropical Storm Andrea, according to school officials.

School officials alerted students on Thursday afternoon via automated phone messages.

Graduation ceremonies for Okeechobee County schools will take place on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. at the Agri-civic Center, according to Okeechobee County school officials.

Friday's graduation will be followed by the All-Night Grad Party at the KOA. 

The graduation ceremony for Sebastian River High School has  also been canceled for Thursday night and rescheduled for Friday, June 7, at 7 p.m., according to the Indian River County school district.
