Strong winds Friday raised wildfire concerns throughout the area.

The Florida Forest Service took precautions and refused to authorize any controlled burns.

Melissa Yunas with FFS says the dry conditions mixed with 30 mph winds could bring on wildfires like the one in Martin County last month.

"This high wind is just going to sap that vegetation with less moisture as it goes through," said Yunas.

Sanne Esque with FFS is taking to skies possibly all weekend looking for anybody who is burning illegally. That includes large pile burns and acreage burning.

"If anybody is burning I want to know who they are," said Esque.

If she does spot someone, she will alert fire rescue who will respond immediately.
